The objective of the B.Q.M.B.H.L. is to foster the growth of the sport and we are committed to;

  • Provide a fun, safe recreational activity for all forms of competition 
  • Creating and implementing leadership opportunities for officials, coaches 
    volunteers and administrates 
  • Establishing standards of play and for quality of equipment to ensure good sport and safety for all participants 
  • To maintain, distribute and uphold the rules and regulations of ball hockey in Belleville. 
 
 

Location :     House league games will be played at the Quinte Sports Centre

Season :       From the last part of April until to the end of June. -

Divisions :    IP, Squirt, Tyke, Novice, Atom. Peewee, Bantam 

Ages :           Boys and girls, 3 to 18 years old

Time :           Weekday Evenings (once per week)

Cost :            $159.00 per player. Early bird sign up in January and February

Rules :          Non-contact, Similar to ice hockey

 

Equipment 
 
C.S.A .helmet with cage, "normal" hockey Stick, athletic support, hockey gloves, shin  guards  (soccer style, must be covered by socks) and running shoes are mandatory, some goalie equipment supplied and  team  shirts are provided.
 
 
 
 
Referee's Information
All O.B.H.A. referees must attend a certification clinic and pass a written exam in order to officiate within the O.B.H.A.  These clinics are offered in March and April every year prior to the start of the season.  Certification is valid for one year, and referees are required to register annually.  Upon successful completion of a clinic, referees receive a Rule-book, Manual, Crest and Card.  They will also receive copies of the O.B.H.A Newsletter and Official's Update called "Technically Speaking".
 
 
 
Coach's Corner
Please consider offering your talents and enthusiasm to coach one of our teams.  If you are willing to give some of your time to provide a valuable service to our children by coaching, please let us know on the Registration Form.

 
Provincial Championships 
Held in July, member leagues send their best "All Star"  team(s) to compete for the title of Provincial Champion for their division/tier.  These events are hosted by leagues at various sites across the Province. 

Insurance Coverage
Included with Membership with the O.B.H.A., is limited medical and dental insurance coverage for injuries that may occur while playing the sport.
